The themes of the material build upon one another in sequential order. To make the most out of your collaborative inquiry, try to center your deliberations on the ideas presented by the material, without moving too far from the theme at hand.
As needed, take pauses to check whether your group shares a common understanding of the material's direct meaning. Try to keep your comprehension in sync with one another and with the material: when a reading or exercise is unclear, work together to investigate its intent. And feel free to reach out to the organizers.
After reading each of the Reflections, and being sure that we understand them, stop for 2 minutes and give time for everyone to write individually and grapple with the reflection before beginning consultation.
You will need a place to write, whether physical or digital; many times we will stop for small periods of individual writing. You will also need a paper and pencil, pen, or other utensil for drawing for one of the exercises.
For this seminar, we are discouraging screen screen-sharing of the materials. One of our objects of learning has to do with the atmospheres we create over Zoom; if you refrain from screen-sharing, it will help generate insights into some of the questions the organizers are learning about this weekend.
The agenda is a rough idea of what we are aiming for not a strict schedule, try to keep pace with it so that we can follow the content through until the end.
Please understand that the seminar is a participatory space and we will consult attentively in discussions with our camera on as much as possible.
These materials are under development, please do not distribute them.
